Born out of sheer passion and with over 3 years of research, development and evolution, it culminated in Bodhi... enlightenment.

Bodhi set out to rethink the ongoing relationship between our personal care and wellness routines, and the impact it has on the environment. The increasing number of harsh synthetics found in the multitude of skin, hair, body and even home care products we use on a daily basis not only affects our physical and mental health, it also has a devastating effect on nature and the environment.

We have only just begun to question about the food we eat, the additives that go into it, where it originates from and even its ethical stance. Isn’t it time we scrutinise what we actually put on our skin?

Botanical Therapies is inspired by traditional remedies gathered from diverse cultures around the world. These tried and tested natural ingredients are combined with advanced cosmetic science to create high-performance natural products formulated without any harsh synthetic ingredients. The eclectic range is infused with active ratios of high quality essential oils and perfumery grade absolutes to create a bath and body care range that not only cares for skin, it also enhances your mental well-being and indulges the senses.

It makes good sense. We are, after all, born of nature.

Our Philosophy

Bodhi means “enlightenment”. Directly translated, it is “to awaken” or “to understand”. The Bodhi Tree, also known as the Sacred Fig, is the Tree of Knowledge and Tree of Life.

With our namesake comes the responsibility. We believe that long-term physical, mental, ethical and spiritual wellness outweighs short-term quick fixes. A healthy body, well cared-for skin and a balanced state of mind indirectly results in a more youthful outlook, helps increase confidence and promotes contentment.

We select ingredients that are ethically sourced from sustainable origins. Bodhi uses plant-based and naturally-derived ingredients to formulate our products, blended with the finest quality essential oils and perfumery-grade absolutes at high ratios that are potent and effective.

Our products are naturally free from harsh synthetics – no petrochemicals, no sulphates, no parabens. We do not use synthetic colours, synthetic fragrances or animal ingredients. We chose not to use any palm oil or palm oil derived ingredients due to the devastating effects palm oil plantations have on tropical rainforests and its ecology.

We do not condone animal testing and all our products have been tested on and evaluated by a volunteer panel of human testers, not animals.
